AWR Design Environment (AWRDE) is an integrated electronic design automation platform developed by Applied Wave Research, Inc. for high-frequency RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave design. It combines schematic capture, simulation, electromagnetic (EM) analysis, and physical layout to accelerate the development of RFICs, MMICs, modules, PCBs, and antenna and array subsystems.

Core technologies include:

• Microwave Office for linear and nonlinear circuit design, with harmonic balance, transient, noise, stability, load-pull, optimization, and yield analysis.
• Visual System Simulator (VSS) for system-level modeling of RF links and communications, supporting modulated signals, budget analysis, and co-simulation with circuit and EM models.
• AXIEM, a 3D planar EM solver optimized for on-chip and PCB structures such as transmission lines, passives, and interconnects.
• Analyst, a 3D finite-element EM solver for complex packages, waveguides, and enclosure geometries.
